Only one storage per account???
Discovered something very disappointing last night. After playing with one character for some time, and getting that character to a moderately higher level (12) on my own, I then started all over again as a team with my wife.
We were hoping to enjoy together the usual struggle of slowly finding resources and better armour as we progress through the game. But then we came to post-searing, and I paid my 50 gold for storage, and what do I discover? All the riches that I had collected with my other character were lying there, taking up space, and waiting to be used by my new, low level character. I find this really sad! I can appreciate that it is a neat way to share resources among characters of one account, but for us, it is sort of a cheat, in that now we (as a team) have immediate access to a lot of resources that we by rights should need to struggle for. Of course I could simply pretend the stuff is not there and ignore it, but it is also taking up all my storage space! I don't just want to throw it all out on the ground outside town, because I am also still playing my other character. I think it would have been nice if storage (and other shared things) were individual for the character, and not common for the account. ;-( |

It's like that! Oh geez, maybe I will play as my ranger then.
Good to know. But yeah, I could understand how that would be annoying for you... |

It's a lot easier to transport items between characters though.

yea the reason the storage exists at all was for this purpose. otherwise to would not be there at all. but too many children wanted to mule items from one character to another. so they put it in back in the betas and it was popular enough to make it in the official release.

I think we all grew to use to having a storage in every games
that when there isent much of one we go --> To be honest we the ammount of stuff a character can carry ( an ilogical ammount ) i dont see any other reason for the storage to be there other then switching stuff between characters. |

I see all four of my characters (well, 3 in post-searing, for now) as working together. Maybe being mutual friends (speaking from an RP perspective here) and sharing resources in a world that's now torn to pieces and difficult to live in for them, being from Ascalon. There are times I wish each character had individual storage "accounts", but when you look at it the way I do, its not too bad.

I wish it could be bigger too... but you'll figure out how to adapt. I adapt by levelling a mule to Post-Sear and only using her to store my long term stuff... like a safety deposit box

I think we should be able to buy extra slots in the storage for a signifagent amout og gold per page of 20. Such as offering 4 pages to you if u want, so its 50g for page 1, 500 for 2, 5 plat for 3, and 50 plat for the final page. That way the pack rats among us can keep nice weapon or rare and common mats in teir without using a mule character as a go between (witch many do now). I rather pay some mony to have more storage space then hold shit on my characters.

I have to agree to have only one storage unit for 4 characters is faily lame. The good news for me is that I bought another game for my daughter, so I can just use "hers". She might whine about it at first, but, then again I am DAD after all.
